Training Seminar: Digital Education as part of the Higher Education portfolio
In the framework of the DIVE project "DIgitalising Vietnamese Education" co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, the Training Seminar “Digital Education as part of the Higher Education portfolio” was held at University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University (HUAF) from 11 to 14 June 2024 with the participation of project members from European and Vietnamese partners.
The main objective of the Seminar was to provide some fundamental concepts of Digital Education and several key considerations in developing and implementing digital education in universities including strategy and roadmap; instructional and curriculum design; technology; teacher skills; and student support.
On behalf of HUAF, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Van, Vice Rector of the university, extended a warm welcome speech to the Seminar. At the same time, he also expressed his hope that the Seminar would provide the participants with useful contents towards the application of digital education in the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
The participants of the training seminar listened to and discussed issues relating to Digital Education, including the strategy and roadmap for applying Digital Education in academic programs in HEIs, methods of applying technology and developing curriculum and instructional design, the skills that lecturers need to implement as well as support for students in Digital Education.

Moreover, the Vietnamese universities gave short presentations on the current status of digital education at their respective institutions.
