The short-term study trip of four students from the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University in Kyoto, Japan took place from November 16, 2024, to November 23, 2024, within the framework of the Sakura Science Exchange Program. This is a meaningful activity, marking the cultural exchange and scientific cooperation between Vietnam and Japan. The program not only helps students broaden their horizons and access new knowledge but is also an opportunity to build important international relationships. The participating students are all exemplary individuals active in student exchange and cooperation activities. This will certainly be a valuable experience in their learning and development journey.
The trip also strengthens friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries, while encouraging the younger generation to participate in international scientific and cultural activities.
In addition to the opportunity to learn about Japanese traditions, values, and lifestyles, during the program, students also have the chance to study, share, and experience, to recognize the importance of cooperation between urban and rural areas in solving environmental problems through training at related facilities in Kyoto City and Shiga Prefecture, learn about cutting-edge science and technology (waste disposal, resource recycling, traditional architecture, satoyama conservation, etc.) that are being used as concrete solutions in Japan, and identify issues that they should address in the future to solve environmental problems in Vietnam.
