This event aimed to disseminate the key learning points of WP3 among the HUAF staff members; to build awareness on the potential and contribution of Digital Education and decrease reluctances and barriers to its adoption; to contribute to the strategic planning for advancing digital education.

The event commenced with a warm welcome speech by HUAF’s Rector, Assoc. Prof. Tran Thanh Duc, followed by a brief introduction to the DIVE project delivered by Ms. Le Thi Thuy Hang, the project coordinator.

Dr. Ve Quoc Linh then provided the definitions and basic concepts of digital education, and the fundamental components required for institutional digital transformation. These included strategy and roadmap development, curriculum and course design, technology infrastructure, educator competencies, and student support systems. Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Huong, Director of the Informatics Centre, presented the key strategies and highlighted the potential of digital learning to promote inclusion in Vietnam’s HEIs. Additionally, she introduced the characteristics of high-quality digital education, reviewed internationally recognized quality standards and emphasized the need to adapt these frameworks to the context of Vietnam’s HEIs. The participants also analyzed and discussed the opportunities and challenges to digital education through group work.
