The First Training Replication on Innovation and Research Funding had been organized by ENHANCE partners from Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry on May 18th , 2018. The training was conducted in the framework of the strEngthening National researcH And iNnovation Capacities in viEtnam (ENHANCE) project funded by the Erasmus+ programme.
From May 11 to 12, 2018, Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF) held a workshop on "LED applications in the fields of agriculture, forestry and fisheries" and signed a cooperation agreement with Rang Dong Light & Vacuum Flask Company (RALACO).

Within the framework of cooperation with the FORMIS II project, on October 18, 2017, the Faculty of Forestry, Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry organized an academic exchange seminar entitled "Monitoring System and Sharing of Forest Resource Data in Vietnam ". The seminar attracted over 100 students and faculty members from the Faculty of Forestry.
On September 8th, 2017, at Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry, Kyoto University, Japan organized a seminar on a study on "the land use and livelihood resilience in the face of growing dependence on mon-cropping of industrial tree plantations- a case in central Vietnam" and a study on “Bio-indicators in folklore”. This is a frequent activity in the framework of development collaboration between Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF) and Kyoto University, Japan. The seminar attracted lecturers from the Faculty of Forestry and the Faculty of Land management and Agricultural environment of HUAF.
On August 9th, 2017, the opening ceremony of the first issue of Agricultural Science and Technology Journal was held at Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF).

From the 28th to the 30th of November 2016, the contest of "The Best of Innovators on the Mekong Sub-region Food in 2016 - Food for Athlete" was held by Chalermphrakiat SakonNakhon campus, in Kasetsart University, Thailand.
On October 15th, 2016, at Huong Giang Hotel (51 Le Loi street, Hue city), Thua Thien Hue Department of Planning and Investment and Hue Industrial College, in collaboration with CoPlus company and Vietnam Creative Innovation program - Finland organized the Final and Award the contest of Hue Innovation Debut in 2016.
Selection of 1- 2 whitebacked planthopper (WBPH) resistant varieties of rice with high yield and quality to be adaptive to rice production in the central Vietnam.
Selection of the salinity-tolerant rice varieties with high yield and are suitable with saline lands for Central Coastal region.
The proccess of making biological product of TS (Trichoderma – Streptomyces) has been done and experiments have been set up in Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh and Ninh Thuan.
Assessing tend of climate change and affecting of calamity types that causes by climate change to the development of eco-society, especially in sector of agricuture - forestry – fishery in DaiLoc district, Quang Nam province and proposing the response and mitigate solutions in the future.
The outcomes showed that applying 7l bio-fertilizer WEHG and replacing 20% synthetic nitrogen fertilizer per hectare for variety of BT7 reached the best economical efficiency in ancient Alluvial soil Huong An, Huong Tra town, Thua Thien Hue province.
The model of the submerged trees species planted enriched Truoi reservoir habitats where tourists visit Truoi Reservoir and Truc Lam Bach Ma. It is also the field study where students of other faculties in Hue University, and is a visiting model for organizations and individuals wishing to develop semi-submerged tree.
Research study determined planting and potassium dose for the salty tolerance rice variety (OM8104) as follows:
- For crop season: The most suitable transplanting times for the OM8104 salty tolerance variety is 22nd January in Winter–Spring, and May 30th and June 9th in Summer seasons on the effected saline soil of Quang Nam province, Vietnam. Grain yield was 9.1 tons/ha for both planting times in Winter-Spring season and in 4.4 tons/ha and 4.6 tons/ha in summer seasons, respectively.
The research results can be applied and transferred in the tea plantations and companies, tea processing enterprises in our country.
Testing on the repeatability of the SSIA performance with both rabies vaccine-added antigen-positive and rabies-negative saliva samples diluted in negative saliva fluids as the reaction diluents parallel with the same both samples diluted in physiological solution showed the method reliable, as all 55 samples of rabies antigens (vaccine) diluted in both physiological solution and in normal dogs’ rabies-negative saliva fluids demonstrated the same negative reactions (100% sensitivity) and all 55 negative saliva samples diluted in the pair of the liquids showed the same negative reactions (100% specificity).
The results of this study provided farmers the seasonal calendar of drifting fingerling from the sea into the lagoon of each fish species and the exploitative efficiency of each fishing gear in order to improve the quality of the seed.
The technical procedures of in-vitro propagation and nursery cultivation of Gloxinia are fundamental technique for technology transfer and provide Gloxinia in-vitro plants to farmer whose cultivation of Gloxinia in Thua Thien Hue province and the Central region of Vietnam.
