Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology achieves Higher Ranking in 2025 Scientific Journal List by the Interdisciplinary Professor Council of Animal Husbandry – Veterinary Medicine – Aquaculture
On July 11, 2025, the Chairman of the State Professorship Council signed Decision No. 26/QD-HDGSNN, approving the 2025 List of Scored Scientific Journals. Accordingly, the Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology, affiliated with the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, continues to be scored by four sectoral and interdisciplinary Professor Councils, with one council granting a higher score.
The specifics are as follows:
- Interdisciplinary Professor Council of Animal Husbandry – Veterinary Medicine – Aquaculture: Increased from 0.75 to 1.0 points starting from 2025.
- Interdisciplinary Professor Council of Agriculture – Forestry: 1.0 point from 2023.
- Professor Council of Biology: 0.5 points from 2024.
- Interdisciplinary Professor Council of Chemistry – Food Technology: 0.25 points from 2022.

The Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology, part of the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, was established on April 20, 2017, under Print Press Operation License No. 114/GP-BTTTT issued on March 15, 2017, by the Minister of Information and Communications. It was subsequently assigned the ISSN 2588 – 1256 by the National Agency for Science and Technology Information – Ministry of Science and Technology.
Building on this, on January 24, 2025, the Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology was granted Print and Electronic Journal Operation License No. 53/GP-BTTTT by the Minister of Information and Communications. On May 20, 2025, the Department of Information and Statistics, Ministry of Science and Technology, issued the E-ISSN 3093-3757 for the electronic version of the Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology.

Since its establishment, the Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology has consistently strived to improve quality in its specialized fields, aiming for reputable domestic development and international integration. To date, the Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology has published 25 issues with 500 scientific articles across various fields consistent with the Journal's principles and objectives.

- According to Decision No. 29/QD-HĐGSNN of the State Professorship Council dated July 10, 2019, the Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology was first included in the list of scored scientific journals starting from 2019.
- The Journal became a member of Crossref in 2020 and has been assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for published articles.
- The University and the Journal's leadership have prioritized and focused on applying information technology to innovate and manage the Journal according to international standards, by upgrading the Journal management software to a new version (including both Vietnamese and English interfaces). This facilitates smoother and easier operation, management, and publication, as well as enhances interaction among the Journal's administrative team, expert reviewers, and authors.
Furthermore, the Journal has implemented plagiarism detection software for submitted articles, ensuring that research works undergo a more careful, transparent, and standardized peer-review process.
