Additionally, the workshop welcomed representatives from over 20 universities, research institutes, departments, agencies, and businesses in the Central and Central Highlands regions.

During the workshop, Mr. Tran Nam Tu, Deputy Director of the Department of Science, Technology, and Information, delivered an opening speech, emphasizing the role of developing a network of excellent and talented training centers in the context of digital transformation and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. He stated that this is a crucial foundation for improving the quality of human resources and strengthening scientific and technological capabilities to serve the goal of sustainable national development.

Following this, Dr. Bui Van Loi, Acting Vice President of Hue University, shared a strategic vision, affirming a commitment to collaborate in building an innovation ecosystem and enhancing the quality of training and scientific research in biotechnology and other high-tech fields.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Duc, Rector of HUAF, delivered a speech
In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Duc, Rector of HUAF, expressed his honor that the university was chosen to host the workshop. He highlighted the strategic role of agriculture in national development, especially in the context of digital transformation and sustainable development. He affirmed that major policies of the Party and Government, along with resolutions and strategies for biotechnology development, higher education, and the "three rural" program (agriculture, farmers, and rural areas), have laid the groundwork for the formation of a network of excellent training centers. Moreover, this workshop brought together over 20 universities, research institutes, agencies, and businesses, demonstrating close coordination among the three pillars: the State, the University, and Enterprises, in training and research. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Duc affirmed, "HUAF always identifies its pioneering role and responsibility in anticipating and addressing the challenges of the agricultural sector. In this role, today, we are immensely honored to be entrusted by Hue University with the task of hosting and serving as the connecting unit to collaborate with you in building and developing this strategic network".

In the closing session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Van, Vice Rector of HUAF, expressed sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Training, Hue University, experts, scientists, and delegates from universities, institutes, and businesses within and outside the region who attended and contributed valuable insights. The workshop concluded in an atmosphere of excitement and confidence in an effective cooperative journey and strong development of the network of excellent and talented training centers in the coming time. This will contribute to enhancing innovation capacity and the application of biotechnology for sustainable agricultural development in the Central and Central Highlands regions in the new context.
