Workshop on Digital transformation in agricultural production and value chain of agricultural products

The Workshop was held in both online and face-to-face formats. Guests attending the seminar were Mr. Le Anh Hoang, General Director of Digital Agricultural Cooperative; Mr. Le Van Loi, Head of Digital Transformation Training Department, Head of Customer Support Department of Sorimachi Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Hoang Bao Hung, Director of Information Technology Center of Thua Thien Hue Province; and representatives of leaders of the Departments of Agriculture, Agricultural Extension Centers from many provinces.
 
On the HUAF side, there were Prof. Dr. Le Dinh Phung - Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Tuan, Dean of the Faculty of Rural Development; Representatives of leaders of HUAF faculties, functional departments, and all staff of Faculty of Rural Development.
 

At the Workshop, experts presented reports on Digital transformation solutions in agriculture; The current situation of the capacity of cadres implementing digital transformation in the industry in Thua Thien Hue and Quang Tri provinces; Unified solution on e-commerce for farmers and rural areas in Thua Thien Hue province; Using digital technology in sustainable forest management; Nam Giang black pig value chain: Opportunities and challenges in the context of agricultural digital transformation.

Overview of the Workshop

 
Through the discussion session, the workshop collected many ideas, solutions, and recommendations to promote digital transformation as well as how to have coordination among experts and agencies to mobilize and share resources, find opportunities to promote digital transformation in agriculture, and build smart rural areas in the central region of Vietnam.
