Attending the working session from the TUM delegation were Prof. Johannes Sauer – Head of The Chair Group of Production and Resource Economics, and Dr. Pietro Sala – Senior Researcher. From HUAF, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Duc – Rector; Prof. Dr. Le Dinh Phung – Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Huu Ty – Head of the Department of Science, International Cooperation & Information; Leaders of the Faculties of Rural Development, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Land Resources & Agricultural Environment, and the Central Vietnam Rural Development Center, along with university staff.

During the working session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Huu Ty extended a warm welcome to the delegation from TUM and introduced an overview of the history, development, and many international cooperation programs with other countries through a video. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Duc – Rector of HUAF, expressed his joy in welcoming the delegation and hoped that in the future, the two institutions would expand cooperation in areas such as training, scientific research, and exchange of faculty members and students.
Prof. Johannes Sauer shared that the purpose of this visit was to meet and discuss collaboration plans, as well as promote master’s degree training programs. He affirmed that TUM would be always ready to build a close and long-term strategic relationship with HUAF in the future.

Both sides openly discussed professional activities, their directions, and development potential, as well as opportunities for cooperation in research, faculty and student exchanges, postgraduate scholarships, organizing workshops, and scientific publishing.
Following this, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Duc and Prof. Johannes Sauer signed a potential cooperation program between HUAF and TUM.

After the signing ceremony, the joint research team from both sides exchanged research ideas related to agriculture and the environment. In the afternoon, the group visited the Tam Giang Lagoon for a field trip.
