Opening Ceremony of Course 59 – Academic Year 2025–2026

Attending the ceremony were distinguished guests and representatives from Hue City and local agencies, including Mr. Bui Duc Luan – Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of  Hospital 268; Mr. Phan Anh Viet – Deputy Head of Division PA03, Hue City Police. From Hue University, there were Prof. Dr. Tran Dang Hoa – Deputy Secretary in charge of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; Dr. Bui Van Loi – Acting Vice President; along with leaders of faculties and member universities.

The event was also honored by the presence of representatives from partner organizations, agencies, and enterprises with strong collaborative ties with HUAF. Among the distinguished guests were former leaders of HUAF: People’s Teacher, Prof. Dr. Tran Van Minh – Former Secretary of the Party Committee, Former Rector; and Meritorious Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hieu – Former Secretary of the Party Committee, Former Rector. From HUAF, participants included Prof. Dr. Le Dinh Phung – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Duc – Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Van – Vice Rector; together with leaders of faculties, departments, functional offices, and especially all new students of Course 59.
 
In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Duc – Rector of HUAF, on behalf of the Party Committee, the Board of Rectors, and the entire university staff and students, warmly congratulated the freshmen who officially became members of the HUAF community. He emphasized that during the next 4–5 years, the students would embark on an exciting and meaningful journey at HUAF – a place where they will gain comprehensive academic knowledge and develop essential soft skills to confidently step into the future.
 
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Duc reaffirmed the university’s commitment to always accompany and support students, creating the best possible conditions for their academic and personal growth. He also highlighted the long-standing traditions of HUAF students: “Good discipline – Words and deeds go hand in hand – Diligence and perseverance – Loyalty and compassion – Willingness to take responsibility.” He expressed his hope that the new students would continue to uphold these values and strive for excellence in learning and personal development to build a successful future.
 

 
On this occasion, the University mobilized a total scholarship fund of 582 million VND, awarding scholarships to 201 students, including top-ranking freshmen, top students of each major, and students with difficult circumstances. Additionally, more than 500 welcome gifts were presented to new students as a source of motivation and encouragement at the beginning of their academic journey.
 
This meaningful activity reflects the deep care and collective efforts of the University, faculty members, alumni, enterprises, and benefactors in supporting HUAF students on their path of learning and personal growth.
