The main aim of the training that took place at Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (Vietnam) was to introduce to participants about the concepts of social innovation and to learn how to apply it to their university environment. In addition, participants will learn about the role of universities within the social innovation ecosystem and the importance of evaluation, impact assessment and scaling up within the context of SI.
The training attracted about 50 participants from HUAF's researchers and staff and students.
The following topics were addressed: Social innovation: theory and practice ; Social Innovation in Vietnam; Group exercise: Identifying and presenting social innovation projects: Discussion and identification of case studies from participants; Review of online tool; and Wrap up by Dr. Pham Huu Ty - Head of international cooperation and science-technology, HUAF.
During the training, the participants commented and discussed on the topics actively.
