Attending the opening ceremony were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Thang Long - Vice Rector of HUAF, leaders of departments, faculties, leaders of the Youth Union, Student Association. Especially, there are more than 1,300 new students of the 51st course to participate in the festival.

Msc.Le Chi Hung Cuong- President of the Student Association of HUAF said: "The festival is a combination of activities, including: honoring the best first year student, honoring donors; Giving scholarships to students and exchanging the co-operation with companies; Folk games; Food’s festival; Book’s Day, Garage Sale Day; Cultural Exchange, Arts and Music Performance; DJs program. Moreover, the festival contains nearly 30 booths. The festival is regarded as the effort of organizers, the enthusiasm of groups, clubs – teams, the support from the administrative board and the donors".
At the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Thang Long,-Vice Rector of HUAF, highly appreciated the effort of the Youth Union and the Student Association to create a lively Festival for freshmen with abundant activities. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Thang Long said that the Festival would be an occasion for new students to get acquainted with the first activities of HUAF in order to first practice skills and adapt to the new learning environment. Furthermore, this would be the start of the first school year when studying at HUAF. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Thang Long expressed his thanks for the contribution and support from sponsors so that the festival would be held on a large scale, creating a meaningful program.
On this occasion, the sponsors also provided 20 scholarships to freshmen who received the highest marks with the aims to encourage and motivate them to strive more in their studies and practice.
