Participants of HUAF included Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phung Thang Long, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Dinh Phung- Vice Rectors of HUAF; some lecturers who have studied in Germany and joined German projects.
Speaking at the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Dinh Phung warmly welcomed German Ambassador to Vietnam Christian Berger and Mr. Stefan Hase Bergen – Head of Representative Office of German Academic Exchange Agency - DAAD in Hanoi to HUAF. He said that HUAF have had many international relationships to German universities and institutes. Moreover, some staff and lecturers of HUAF have had opportunities in studying in Germany funded by DAAD scholarships. This plays crucial roles in building and developing human resources of HUAF in generally.
At the meeting, German Ambassador to Vietnam Christian Berger and Mr. Stefan Hase Bergen were concerned about projects and researches which have been implemented by HUAF. After that, a variety of projects which have been co-operated with German universitites such as Hannover University, Gottingen University, Humbolt.Berlin University… related to land management, forest management, climate change, and so on in central and highland regions were briefly introduced.
According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Dinh Phung, HUAF will be an autonomous university by 2020. He hoped that HUAF would receive German professors, researchers and joint projects to better develop itself in the future.
On this occasion, many scholarships for PhD students were introduced to HUAF. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hoang Khanh Linh- Deputy Dean of Faculty of Land Resource and Agricultural Environment of HUAF was regarded as an ambassador of DAAD scholarship program in Hue.
