The closing ceremony of students exchange program between Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok, Thailand & HUAF

Yesterday morning on the 9th, of August,2016, the closing ceremony of students exchange program between Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok, Thailand and Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF) was held at HUAF. This is a program within the framework of cooperation agreements on the staff and students exchange between the two universities. Therefore, 16 Thai students received the certificates from HUAF.

Attending the closing ceremony, participants consisted of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Thang Long who is Vice Rector of HUAF, MA. Duong Van Thanh – Chairman of Youth Union and lecturers who directly instruct to international students.

During the three weeks of study at Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry, students of Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok, Thailand presented the achieved outcomes such as taking part in professional learning at the faculties such as faculty of Agronomy, faculty of Animal Science, Veterinary medicine, faculty of Fisheries, faculty of land resources, faculty of Engineering, and Food technology. In addition, students had the chance to visit experimental centers including Center for  Aquaculture in Phu Thuan commune, Thua Thien Hue and Huong Van Center. The students also participated in cultural exchanges with the club and the team from Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry in order to find out the cultural identity between Vietnam and Thailand. Furthermore, students of Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok, Thailand did sightseeing in the monuments of Hue such as Thien Mu Pagoda, Khai Dinh Tomb, and the Temple of Huyen Tran Princess. The Thai students enjoyed all the specialties that made them interested.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Assoc. Prof.Dr. Phung Thang Long said that after nearly a month of studying at Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry, students of Rajamangala Tawan-ok Technology, Thailand had the opportunity to study at Vietnam and then complete their tasks. Assoc. Prof.Dr. Phung Thang Long also hoped that through students exchange program, the two universities will continue to discuss, adjust how the exchange program is more appropriate in order that the two sides collaborate sustainably.

At the ceremony, Dr. Nontasak piumpon- Dean of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok, Thailand, expressed his deep appreciation to the warm welcome of HUAF in these programs. Dr. Nontasak piumpon hoped that both sides will keep expanding and promoting further cooperation to link them closer.

At the end of the meeting, the two leaders signed and handed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) to each other, opening up a sustainable and a developed academic cooperation.
