Inauguration of a hi-tech hydroponic vegetable farm
On April 24, 2018, Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry officially organized an inauguration of a hi-tech hydroponic vegetable farm.
This is a project managed by Research and Development Institute of HUAF and invested nearly 1 billion VND with an area of over 1000m2 at Tu Ha, Thua Thien Hue province.
The method of hydroponic cultivation is applied in the farm with automatic management system that allows to monitor the environmental parameters including temperature, humidity, light intensity, and so on.
HUAF has been considered as one of the leading units in research and application of hi-tech agricultural solutions. In addition, this model also helps introduce and transfer scientific advances to farmers, serving socio-economic development to the localities.
Speaking at the inauguration, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van An - Rector of HUAF expressed his pleasure and confidence in this project that would create the premise for HUAF’s development, meet the needs of society. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr Le Van An also said that HUAF would encourage and create favorable conditions for students and staff in research and studying from this modern model.
