The signing ceremony of cooperation on training and technology transfer for livelihood development
On May 10, 2018, the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding on training, technology transfer and product marketing in agricultural production for farmers was implemented between Center for Rural Development (CRD), HUAF and Central Group Vietnam.
It is seen as a collaborative strategy between CRD, a leading unit in the field of rural development in Central Vietnam and Central Group Vietnam, is one of the largest retail groups in Thailand.
Participants in the signing ceremony included Mr.Nguyen Van Phuong - Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue People's Committee; Representatives from A Luoi district, Nam Dong district, Big C supermarket; Representatives of Central Group Vietnam; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Dinh Phung, Vice Rector of HUAF and leaders and staff of Center for Rural Development, HUAF.
The signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding is an activity within the framework of the program "Community Livelihoods" of Central Group Vietnam.
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong highly appreciated the achievements that CRD contributed to rural development in Thua Thien Hue province in particular and in Central regions in general. He hoped that the cooperation between Central Group Vietnam and Center for Rural Development, HUAF would create motivation for sustainable livelihood development for poor farmers in the area.
Dr. Truong Quang Hoang, Director of Center for Rural Development of Central Vietnam, HUAF said that this event played an important part in developing a value chain of agricultural products. The technology transfer to farmers supported by the government and the enterprises. This was an opportunity for CRD and Central Group to realize their vision towards the community as well as the poor.
