International Symposium 2023 on Education and Research in Global Environmental Studies in Asia
On December 11, 2023, College of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University (HUAF) collaborated with The Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies , Kyoto University to organize the International Symposium 2023 on Education and Research in Global Environmental Studies in Asia.
In the opening session, on the guest side, there were the presence of Dr. Do Thi Xuan Dung - Deputy Director of Hue University, PhD. Bui Quang Vu - Chairman of the Trustee Board of the University of Sciences, Hue University, Prof.Dr. Huynh Trung Hai - Principal of the School of Materials, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Professors from Kyoto University, Japan, Royal University of Agriculture of Cambodia, IPB University Indonesia and scientists from Asia.
On HUAF's side, there were the presence of Prof. Dr. Tran Dang Hoa - Chairman of the Trustee Board, Assoc. Prof. Tran Thanh Duc - Rector, Prof.Dr. Le Dinh Phung - Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Huu Van - Vice Rector and representatives of functional departments and staff.
Since 2015, the Kyoto University International Symposium has been held every year. This is part of the international cooperation activities of Kyoto University Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies (GSGES). As a traditional partner of HUAF, in 2023, GSGES cooperated with HUAF to organize the International Symposium on Global Environmental Education and Research in Asia to share information on cultural preservation rural areas, ecology, environment and natural resources. This is a valuable opportunity for scientists in related fields of HUAF to meet and exchange experiences with domestic and international colleagues to share experiences, update and improve knowledge.
The Symposium attracted the participation of more than 80 scientists from Vietnam and Asian countries through both live and online parallel organization. On this occasion, HUAF also held a ceremony to announce the decision and award the title of Honorary Professor of Hue University to Prof. Shigeo Fujii (GSGES).
On HUAF's side, there were the presence of Prof. Dr. Tran Dang Hoa - Chairman of the Trustee Board, Assoc. Prof. Tran Thanh Duc - Rector, Prof.Dr. Le Dinh Phung - Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Huu Van - Vice Rector and representatives of functional departments and staff.
