Seminar on land use and orientation of land use
Yesterday morning (March 23rd, 2017), the delegation of Goettingen University (Germany) led by Prof.Dr. Martin Kappas and his 14 master's students had a working session with HUAF.
The delegates of HUAF consisted of Assoc.Prof.Dr Huynh Van Chuong - Vice Rector of Hue University, Dr. Pham Huu Ty - Head of Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Khanh Linh – Vice Dean of Faculty of Land Resources and Agricultural Environment. Attending the working session also included lecturers and students from Faculty of Land Resources and Agricultural Environment.
At the meeting, Dr. Pham Huu Ty briefly introduced about main programs on training, research and international relations of Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry. Especially, he emphasized that HUAF had established international cooperation relationships with prestigious universities over the world, including Goettingen University (Germany). In addition, University of Goettingen and HUAF had implemented many cooperation programs in training and scientific research in recent years. Typically, many faculty members of HUAF had being trained postgraduate degree at Goettingen University so as to improve their professional knowledge and qualifications in the international educational environment. Furthermore, Faculty of Land Resources and Agricultural Environment had regularly received students and graduate students from Goettingen University to study and have experience in fieldtrips in the Faculty and in some areas of Thua Thien Hue province. The purpose of fieldwork was to collect information for their research. This was a bridge of academic cooperation between Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry and Goettingen University in the related field between two universities.
After that, leaders of two sides had a seminar on land use and orientation of land use in Vietnam, especially in Hue and in Germany as well. This was considered as a hot and essential issue and was concerned by staffs and students of two universities. This was an occasion for two sides sharing information and experience with each other in research.
