On July 17–18, 2026, in Hanoi, a delegation from the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University (HUAF), attended the 4th National Scientific Conference on Land Management, themed “Unlocking Land Resources in the Digital Era.” The conference was jointly organized by Vietnam National University of Agriculture, the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, and Can Tho University
The conference brought together a large number of policymakers, experts, scientists, lecturers, businesses, and students from across the country to discuss theoretical and practical issues and propose solutions to enhance the effectiveness of land resource governance amid digital transformation and the implementation of the 2024 Land Law.
The discussion sessions focused on a wide range of key topics, including state management of land, land resources, land-use planning, climate change, land databases, and the application of digital technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Big Data to the effective management, development, and utilization of land resources for sustainable socio-economic development.
Being selected as the host institution for the next conference represents recognition of HUAF’s contributions to education and training, scientific research, and technology transfer in land management. It also provides an opportunity for the University to further connect scientists, experts, government agencies, and businesses, contributing to the promotion of innovation, improved land resource governance, and sustainable agricultural development in the digital era.
