Meeting with the Delegation of Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand

On February 23rd, 2017, Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF) had a meeting with the Delegation of Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University in Thailand. The Delegation comprised 5 staff members and coordinators along with 16 students who come from various countries all over the world such as Korea, Philippines, USA, Thailand, Myanmar, Singapore, Palestine and Kenya.
At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr Le Van An - Rector of HUAF warmly welcomed the Delegation to HUAF. He highly appreciated the program on Master of Arts in International Development Studies, organized by Chulalongkorn University.
In this program, the study has been focused on the development of East-West Economic Corridor and Special Economic Zones in Greater Mekong Subregion.
Next, two leaders of two universities briefly introduced in turn about their foundation, training programs and international relations. In addition, Assoc.Prof.Dr Le Van An emphasized that HUAF had a lot of different international programs with Thai institutes, organizations and universities, for instance, many staff & student exchange programs had been implemented between HUAF and Thai universities. Additionally, he said that HUAF would always foster to develop diverse plans in upcoming time.

Furthermore, two leaders of two sides hoped that they would enter the collaborative programs in related fields in near future.
Reportedly, the Master of Arts in International Development Studies Program of Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, funded by Asia Development Bank (ADB) and other international organizations. The program aims at studying the development of East-West Economic Corridor and Special Economic Zones as the projects of Greater Mekong Subregion; studying roles of states, private, civil society, and people in these countries in supporting the development of East-West Economic Corridor; studying various development issues from national to local levels in order to integrate the strategies and policies for further solutions including education development issues, public health development issues, environmental, agricultural, and natural resources development issues, and ethnic and religious conflict issues; producing a collaborative network for future sustainable development between scholars, students, and people from different organizations.
