Meeting with the College of Gastronomy management, Ritsumeikan University, Japan

On September 12th, 2018, the delegates of the College of Gastronomy management, Ritsumeikan University, Japan visited and worked with Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF).
Attending the meeting included Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Van An- Rector of HUAF; leaders of departments (Department of Science, Technology and International Co-operation and Department of Educational management).
The College of Gastronomy management, Ritsumeikan University, Japan founded in April 2018, located in Kusatsu city, Shiga. Its aims are to educate a new generation of food industry leaders who are capable of tackling gastronomy- related issues that cannot be solved by conventional wisdom and values alone. Moreover, the College of Gastronomy management focuses on three main fields such as food management and economics, food culture and humanities and food science and technology.
At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Miki Yoshizumi introduced some information on the college to leaders of HUAF. After that, the delegates of the College of Gastronomy management would like to propose collaborative programs on gastronomy management such as student exchange programs, designing syllabus for the international program, study tour for students of the College of Gastronomy management, cultural exchange activities, accommodation, and so on.
At the end of the meeting, two sides desired that they would discuss more details in order to sign a memorandum of understanding of bilateral cooperation in upcoming time.
