HUAF Honored to Coordinate the Network of Centers of Excellence and Talents in Agricultural Biotechnology for the Central and Central Highlands Regions

In accordance with Decision No. 374/QĐ-TTg dated February 19, 2025, issued by the Prime Minister on the approval of the project “Development of the System of Centers of Excellence and Talents in 4.0 Technology by 2030,” the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) organized a conference on August 8, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City to announce six networks of Centers of Excellence and Talents in 4.0 Technology for the Central and Southern regions of Vietnam.
The conference was attended by leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, representatives from the Ministry of Science and Technology, leaders of MOET’s affiliated units, representatives from six universities chairing the networks, and more than 100 delegates from member higher education institutions and enterprises.

At the conference, Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF), Hue University, was honored to be appointed as the coordinating institution for the **Network of Centers of Excellence and Talents in Agricultural Biotechnology for the Central and Central Highlands Regions**. This milestone affirms the university’s strong capacity and reputation in education, research, and technology transfer in service of sustainable agricultural development.

The six announced networks of Centers of Excellence and Talents in 4.0 Technology include:
1. The Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductor Technology Network chaired by Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
2. The Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductor Technology Network for the Central Region chaired by University of Science and Technology – The University of Danang.
3. The Agricultural Biotechnology Network chaired by Can Tho University.
4. The Agricultural Biotechnology Network for the Central Region chaired by Hue University (coordinated by Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry).
5. The Renewable Energy and Hydrogen Energy Network chaired by Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education.
6. The Educational Technology Network chaired by Ho Chi Minh City Open University.

During the conference, the networks also presented their development orientations and action plans, emphasizing goals to strengthen collaboration between universities and enterprises while maximizing government support. These efforts represent practical steps toward the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

As the coordinating institution, Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry will continue to promote its strengths in agricultural biotechnology, expand national and international cooperation, and contribute to training high-quality human resources to serve the socio-economic development of the Central and Central Highlands regions as well as the whole country.
