REACT Vietnam partner internal replication training at Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF) - Integrating climate change in research: adaptation, risk management strategy: theory and practical practices

The Second Internal Replication Training on Integrating Climate Change in Research: Adaption, Risk Management Strategy, had been organised by REACT partners from Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry, last April 27th, 2018. The training was sponsored by the Capacity Building for Higher Education project of the Erasmus+ programme (REACT).

The main aim of the meeting that took place at Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (Vietnam), was to give an opportunity for those who are carrying out research and studying in the field of climate change at HUAF to improve their knowledge and understanding on Climate Change and the international framework concerning CC actions, and to learn how to analyse/prevent/manage risks related to climate variability and develop solutions for risk management, adaptation & mitigation through local case studies.
 
The training attracted 17 attendants from faculties related to agriculture and forestry, staff of research centers in the University, office of undergraduate/postgraduate training management and MSc students, who are studying and doing research related to climate change.

The following topics were addressed: Adaptation, Risk Management Strategy (Ngo Tung Duc), Methodological tools for managing Climate Change (Ngo Tung Duc), Local case studies on risk management application & practical exercises (Ho Thanh Ha).

At the training, the presenters presented the strategy of climate change adaptation and risk management and related methodological tools, as well as some case studies. The participants commented and discussed on the topics actively.
