Meeting with Chengkung National University, Taiwan

On March 20, 2017, Chengkung National University, Taiwan, consisting of 06 members who are professors, had had a meeting with Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF). Assoc. Prof.Dr Phung Thang Long - Vice Rector of HUAF warmly welcome the delegates to HUAF.
Attending the meeting were Dr. Pham Huu Tỵ - Head of Science, Technology and International Cooperation Department; lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering and Food Technology of HUAF.
At the meeting, Cheng Kung National University’s delegates provided an overview of the colleges and postgraduate programs at Cheng Kung National University. National Chengkung University (NCKU) is located in Tainan City, Taiwan. It is ranked second in Taiwan and first in the field of science and technology. NCKU is among the top 100 universities in the Asia-Pacific region. National Cheng Kung University has 9 member universities, including University of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, University of Medicine, University of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, University of Science, College of Social Sciences , University of Management, College of Arts, University of Design, and Planning and Technical University. Every year, NCKU offers scholarships for master's and doctoral programs for international students in various fields such as: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, Renewable Energy, Resource Management, Research and Development, Biomedical Sciences, Medicine, Geology, Materials Science, Natural Sciences, Business Administration and majors in social sciences ... ..
Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr Phung Thang Long - Vice Rector of HUAF said that HUAF had many policies to cooperate with international universities aiming at promoting agroforestry , fishery, environment ... in the training and scientific research of the university. In addition, the university had a cooperative relationship with many domestic companies and enterprises. In particular, the training orientation of the school is now linked to the labor market in order to meet the labor force. high volume for society. Assoc.Prof.Dr Phung Thang Long also wished that HUAF and National Chengkung University continued to exchange agreements, cooperate with each other in training and scientific research (such as academic exchange to share knowledge and experiences between staff of the two sides, graduate scholarship programs for students, faculty members of the university to study and do research at one of the Chengkung National universities, Taiwan).
During one hour for sharing and exchanging information between the two sides, the delegation of NCKUdirectly interviewed the applicants of HUAF for the National Graduate Scholarship program offered by NCKU. This is a good opportunity for faculty members of HUAF to study and improve their knowledge and skills in the international educational and research environment.
