On May 7, 2018, Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF) had an exchange session with Prof. Christian Kull, University of Lausane and Team of FTViet project.

Attending the meeting included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van An - Rector of HUAF; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Dinh Phung - Vice Rector; Representatives of Science, Technology and International Cooperation Department, Education Department; Dr. Ho Dac Thai Hoang- Director of Institute of Resources and Environment, Hue University.

At the meeting, HUAF leaders and team of FTViet project discussed tasks of the stakeholders in the process of developing and implementing contents of the project as well as suggestions and solutions to develop the curriculum to meet the needs of the labor market and designing the appropriate curriculum for the Master's and PhD's scholarship programs.

This is a research project funded by Swiss National Science Foundation for three i agencies, including University of Lausanne (UNIL) (Switzerland), Institute of Natural Resources and Environment, Hue University (IREN) and HUAF. The objectives and main contents of this project mainly focus on the 'transition' phenomenon of forest in Vietnam, forest areas managed by local people (people, communes, districts), livelihoods; policy, capacity and so on. This project will last from 2017 to 2023. The project area is concentrated in Nam Dong and A Luoi District, Thua Thien Hue Province.

It is known that the project provides PhD students in forestry and master students in forestry with scholarships. In addition, the project will also supply funding for scientific research topics of lecturers and students related to the field of the project.
