The Thailand Vietnam Socio-Economic Panel (TVSEP) project is an international research project sponsored by the German Science Foundation (DFG). Part of the project is to collect and analyse a large amount of socio economic panel data of rural households in six provinces of Vietnam and Thailand. TVSEP has already carried out six panel waves of data collection starting in 2007. The database is unique and offers enormous potential for research that can result in publication in high level international journals.

On the evening of the 3rd of August, 2016, the program on “International Gala Dinner” for international staffs and students from some various universities including: University of Rajamangala Technology Tawan-ok (Thailand), Keio University, Kobe University, RyuKyus University, Forestry and Forest products and Research Institute, Japan, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague and Centre for Agriculture development in Victoria, Australia, happened at Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry. On June 22nd 2016, the first meeting of HUAF Council in the term of 2014-2019 was held in HUAF’s meeting hall. Its aims were to announce the establishment of HUAF Council under the Decision No. 460 / QD-Hue University on January 21, 2016 04 by the Director of Hue University and to appoint Dr. Dinh Vuong Hung as Chairman of the Council under the Decision No. 480 / QD-Hue University on 25 May 04, 2016.

On June 14 th 2016, Mr. Koichi Ishizuka who is an officer of a program on FISCAL 2016 Grants for Japan- Related Research projects funded by the SUMIMOTO Foundation, worked with leaders and staffs of Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF), Vietnam. The purpose of his visit was to introduce the program on the Research projects funded by SUMIMOTO Foundation.
